Our Services
Within 24 business hours of referral, we contact the client and schedule a comprehensive therapeutic assessment. Informed by evidence-based treatments like Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Suicide Prevention, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality, we initiate short-term crisis counseling while developing strategies to mitigate risks.
- Crisis Counseling: Up to three individual sessions, groups, or contacts per week, depending on clinical need.
- Clinical Supervision: Provide board-approved clinical supervision to interns and non-independently licensed counselors and social workers.
- Case Consultation: Collaborative problem-solving for complex cases.
- Professional Training: Equip clinicians and paraprofessionals with essential skills for crisis management and suicide prevention.

Chief Clinical Officer Gayle Porter, LPCC
Gayle spent 12 years working in New Mexico law enforcement agencies as a patrol officer, detective, and field training officer. After receiving specialized training in Crisis Intervention, Gayle was inspired to pursue a Master’s Degree in Psychology. In 2014, she became a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She began a second career with the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line and National Suicide Prevention Lifeline – 988 as a Clinical Supervisor.
Gayle’s brother and father both died by suicide after experiencing an acute mental health crisis. One had just been released from the hospital, and the other was waiting for a referral to start therapy. Gayle is the President of the New Mexico Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), a member of the New Mexico Suicide Prevention Coalition (NMSPC), Suicide Prevention contractor with the NM Department of Veterans Services and serves on the Governor’s and Mayor’s Challenges to Prevent Suicide Among Service Members, Veterans, and their Families and the Veterans Suicide Mortality Review Board.
