Insurance & Rates

New Mexico Crisis Counseling takes most insurance and Medicaid. We can also see clients who prefer to pay out of pocket or want to be seen out of network and seek reimbursement from their insurers. We are in the process of getting approved to accept Medicare; however, we do not accept Medicare at this time. We will update this information as it changes.  If you would like to be notified when we are cleared, please email Director@nmcrisis.org.

We accept the following insurance

Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)
Centennial Care (all plans)
Magellan
Medicaid
Molina
Presbyterian
United Health Care
Western Sky

We frequently add new insurance panels, so let us know if your insurance is not listed.

*We also bill out-of-network for other insurances. Call for more information.

If using insurance, you may have co-pay or deductible amounts which are due at the time of service. We can check your insurance details and discuss your individual costs after you provide us with your new client information.

Private / Out of Pocket

Please get in touch with us for our out-of-pocket rates.

Our rates typically range from $100-$250, depending on the service provided.

**For clients using one of the insurances above, we accept the contracted rate for that insurance.

Good Faith Estimate Notice (for Non-Insured)

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 505-225-2996
