Insurance & Rates
New Mexico Crisis Counseling takes most insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. We can also see clients who prefer to pay out of pocket or want to be seen out of network and seek reimbursement from their insurers. Many veterans, service members, and their families qualify for services to be paid by an existing grant.

Our rates typically range from $150–280, depending on the service provided.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Ensure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill of at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. Fees for Case Consultation Services:
Urgent Clinical Case Consultation $150: Ideal for urgent situations involving clients at high risk of suicide or harming others. This service provides immediate support for clinical decision-making, including navigating confidentiality concerns. It often includes additional unscheduled phone consultations and guidance for clinical documentation at no extra charge.
Standard Clinical Case Consultation $115: Designed for less complex clinical issues that don’t require urgent intervention. This service allows you to explore treatment options and brainstorm solutions for a broader range of client challenges.
Follow-up Support Available
Follow-up sessions $80: These sessions can assist with writing clinical documentation and planning ongoing treatment for your client after the initial crisis has passed. This session may also include reviewing your documentation.
